Something about this Train from my personal Experience.
Cleanliness is good, Train used to be neat and clean when it starts its journey, but due to no OBHS it is getting dirty further. Sleeper maintenance is average but AC maintenance is very good but no cleaning been done entire journey.
Punctuality is Average, Depends on how much it gets delayed between MGS and CNB, otherwise till MGS it runs before time and after CNB usually make up some delay. On my day it was 3 hrs late at CNB and reached ANVT...
more... 1hrs 40 mins late. still cant say it is very punctual train.
Food is Average, No pantry car, but on day 1 order for lunch and dinner is being taken. Lunch will provide after TATA and Dinner after GAYA from official IR Catering but no official Catering on day 2 for Breakfast and Lunch if it gets delayed. Lots of options from Local Vendors en route. Official catering food quality is above average better try to carry your own food.
Ticket Availability is Excellent, Still not very popular among travellers, you will get Confirmed seat even 1 or 2 weeks ago. Mainly Last Minute bookings. So If you are no getting any seats in any train and you have no problem to come SRC early morning then you can opt this option.
Railfanning is Excellent, Many Crossings, overtake from all the East Bound Rajdhanis and Duronto. Scenic Beauty between KGP and GMO, so all in all a very good train for RFing with less crowd pressure.
And last of all Saftey is Good, AC safety very good and attendants are all time alert but in Sleeper safety is not that good, doors remains open, but due to having 5 GS coaches and less number of halts usually the coaches dont get filled up with unauthorised public. But between SRC and KGP/TATA you may have to face a little problem from the Daily Passengers as well as Railway Workers but after TATA no such problem.
I guess this will helpful for them who wants travel in this Train but dont know much of it.
