There are three major ways to reach the main city road.
1. A road runs straight in front of the station building and is perpendicular to the station. This will take you to RTO/Townhall and is closest to the State Bank bus terminus. A 5-10 minute walk will take you to State Bank Terminus. As you exit the station, either climb the steps behind the taxi stand or take the road to the right of it which curves and meets the path traced by the steps and runs straight to join the main road at RTO/Town Hall, just 200 meters away.
2....
more... A walk alongside the station building towards the dead end side of the station will lead you to Milagres/Hampankatta Signal/Wenlock Hospital. Walk towards the right after exiting the station and the same road which connects to Townhall, extends towards Hampankatta from the point where the station ends.
These two ways are for the main entrance of the station on Platform #1.
3. If you have arrived on Platform #2/3, then walk towards the dead end and take the exit on the right. DO NOT hire any autorickshaws from here as they are a bunch of abominable thieves. If you have to catch a rickshaw, go to the prepaid counter near the main entrance on Platform #1. If you walk along the road that extends from this exit, and walk straight, you'll reach Milagres Church/Wenlock Hospital/Hampankatta signal as well. Will take about 5-10 minutes depending on your walking speed.
