I got few pics of doubling between Koppal and Ginigera (Pics 1-4).
-
I also got few pics of the official info board regarding ongoing projects of SWR (Pics 5-10) : pics...
more... are blurred, since light was fading and the board was not clearly visible.

In morning I had got a couple of pics (11, 12) of JRU-DVG doubling, looks like land levelling is done at almost all parts, but no tracks yet. Just sleepers stacked at some places. It seems that work has stopped, no ongoing work, no workers, unlike TK-ASK section.
-
Also I got some pics of the Harihara-Kotturu line in the morning (Pics 13-15), no trains just that it was the first time I was seeing windmills so close to the track (Thank God!!! SWR didn't cite that as a reason for not starting that lonely passenger :))

But the most exciting part was seeing a Goods train waiting for signal after the tunnel near Hosapete. If you recollect, when the gradient work of Kotturu-Hosapete was on, they said that precautions were being taken to see that vehicle movement on the NH near the tunnel weren't affected. So seeing Goods trains and the signals along the line was very reassuring that SWR won't come-up with more reasons of gradient or signals...... Just station, PF construction and high tension wire issues to be fixed.
Last 2 pics, sorry blurred.... night pic taken from fast moving bus at the nick of time. 1st pic you can makeout the top outline of Goods bogie. 2nd pic red signal along the line.

In the inaugural train I met a group of farmers who were from Harapanahalli and Hagaribomanahalli. They were railfans, so taking this journey. They said that they have been promised loading facility for their agricultural produce at these 2 stations, along with a promise for a train to Hubballi and Bengaluru in this year. One of the farmers in his eagerness to show Hagaribomanahalli station, opened his phone and showed the station on a website ------- IRI. Another farmer pointed out the spelling "railways" have put is wrong. It was a great moment for me to see hinterland people were using IRI.... Only after coming here, now I saw that the SB is correct but just that spelling on the homepage is wrong.

At Ginigera while I was taking pics, some people who had travelled in the train were arguing if the regular train will start from tomorrow, that's when one of them said that they will check IRI for timings. A great feeling to see IRI so popular and being used even in hinterland India.
