more... five absconding accused in theft cases registered at Tatanagar and Rourkela railway police stations. However, the accused were not apprehended. The Railway Police received information about the accused during interrogation of Tinku Kumar alias Motu (Hissar) and Balwant alias Kala (Jind) of the Sansi gang, who were arrested from an express train at Ispat Adityapur station on December 15th. Both were taken on remand by Yashwantpur Railway Police from Ghaghidih Jail for interrogation, while Mumbai Railway Police has also filed an application in court for their remand. The Rourkela Railway Police also conducted an inquiry in Tatanagar, which revealed the names of seven members of the gang. Three of them are currently being targeted by the Railway Police, as in February 2023, a team from the Tatanagar Railway Police and RPF had apprehended Phool Kumar, Dinesh, and Pawan, who were associated with the Sansi gang, while three others had escaped. These three are currently in Rourkela Jail. They had also revealed the names of other associates residing in Haryana during police remand, leading the Railway Police to conduct raids in Haryana.
