Nagari-Tindivanam railway track work revived as Rs 350 cr allocated in interim budget

The construction of the 184.45-km railway line between Tindivanam and Nagari, which has been delayed since 2007, is finally set to begin in full swing this year. the project has received Rs. 550 crore in funding. The 33-km stretch from Nagari-Podatturpettai and Walajah Road-Sholinghur town will be constructed this year, with tenders being finalized. A 6.5-km section from Walajah Road to Ranipet was opened for goods traffic in 2020, and work on the 28.5-km line from Podatturpettai to Sholingur will begin soon. This new line will connect Puducherry via Tindivanam and intersect the Chennai-Katpadi line at Walajah station, ultimately linking with the Chennai Central-Tirupati railway line. The project is expected to transform the rail network by providing an alternative to congested lines. The total land requirement is 726.59 hectares, with 594.10 hectares already acquired. The Railways has provided Rs 577.15 crore for land acquisition. The project cost has escalated significantly since 2007, with the revised estimate now standing at Rs 3,631.34 crore.

ko Rs 550 crore ka funding mila hai. Nagari-Podatturpettai aur Walajah Road-Sholinghur town ke beech 33-km ka stretch is saal construct hoga, jiske liye tenders finalize kiye ja rahe hain. Walajah Road se Ranipet tak 6.5-km ka section 2020 mein goods traffic ke liye khol diya gaya tha, aur Podatturpettai se Sholingur tak 28.5-km line ka kaam jaldi shuru hoga. Ye new line Tindivanam se Puducherry ko connect karegi aur Chennai-Katpadi line ko Walajah station par intersect karegi, aur aakhir mein Chennai Central-Tirupati railway line se link hogi. Project se rail network mein transformation aane ki ummeed hai kyunki isse congested lines ka alternative milega. Total land requirement 726.59 hectares hai, aur 594.10 hectares ka acquisition ho chuka hai. Railways ne land acquisition ke liye Rs 577.15 crore diye hain. Project cost 2007 se bahut badh gaya hai, aur revised estimate ab Rs 3,631.34 crore hai.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake.
