journey last October. The project is utilizing two TBMs, 'Azad' and 'Vidyarthi', for tunnel construction along this section. The next phase involves tunnelling from the cut and cover shaft near Swadeshi Cotton Mill towards Kanpur Central via Transport Nagar and Jhakarkatti underground stations. UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar expressed satisfaction with the project's progress, highlighting the dedication of the team and the use of advanced TBM technology. Construction is also underway on the 5 km long Baradevi-Naubasta elevated section, along with the operational 9 km long Priority Corridor (IIT to Motijheel) within the 24 km long Corridor-1. The completion of the 'up-line' tunnel from Kanpur Central to Nayaganj marks a significant advancement for the project, which is expected to revolutionize Kanpur's transportation landscape.

tunnel successfully banaya hai. 'Azad' TBM ne apna journey last October mein start kiya tha. Is project mein do TBM, 'Azad' aur 'Vidyarthi' use kiye ja rahe hain. Ab aage ka phase Swadeshi Cotton Mill ke paas cut and cover shaft se Kanpur Central tak tunnelling ka hai, jisme Transport Nagar aur Jhakarkatti underground stations bhi aayenge. UPMRC ke Managing Director Sushil Kumar ne project ke progress par khushi jahir ki, aur unhone team ki dedication aur advanced TBM technology ke use ko highlighted kiya. Iske saath hi 5 km lamba Baradevi-Naubasta elevated section par bhi construction chal raha hai, aur 24 km lamba Corridor-1 ke andar 9 km lamba Priority Corridor (IIT se Motijheel tak) operational hai. Kanpur Central se Nayaganj tak 'up-line' tunnel banne se Kanpur Metro Rail Project ko bahut bada boost mila hai, aur yeh project Kanpur ke transport system ko revolutionize karne wala hai.
