Dubey and the others were disappointed, but when they arrived at Allahabad Junction (now Prayagraj Junction), they were surprised to find a newspaper headline announcing that Saroj Dubey had been chosen as the Janata Dal candidate for Allahabad.

Sab nirasha mein the, par jab woh Allahabad Junction (ab Prayagraj Junction) pahunche, toh unhone newspaper mein ek headline dekha, jo yeh bata raha tha ki Saroj Dubey ko Allahabad se Janata Dal ka candidate chuna gaya hai.
