Tumakuru would be 86 km long, which experts say is too far for a Metro system. They suggest that the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) is a better alternative for such long distances, similar to the Delhi-Meerut RRTS. Additionally, they emphasize the importance of completing existing Metro phases and prioritizing the suburban rail network before further extending the Metro.
