Metro a misplaced mobility option to suburbs, try Regional Rapid Transit System, say experts

There is a debate in Bengaluru about whether to extend the Metro network to far-flung suburbs and neighboring districts. Some argue that it is too expensive and that a suburban rail system would be a more viable option, offering higher capacity, speed, and lower construction costs. The proposed Metro extension to...

Tumakuru would be 86 km long, which experts say is too far for a Metro system. They suggest that the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) is a better alternative for such long distances, similar to the Delhi-Meerut RRTS. Additionally, they emphasize the importance of completing existing Metro phases and prioritizing the suburban rail network before further extending the Metro. The argument is that completing the planned suburban rail network could significantly improve connectivity and reduce congestion within Bengaluru, without the high costs and time associated with Metro extensions.

Bengaluru mein Metro network ko durr ke suburbs aur neighboring districts tak extend karne ko lekar bahut debate chal raha hai. Kuchh log bol rahe hain ki yeh bahut expensive hai aur suburban rail system zyada better option hai, jisme high capacity, speed aur kam construction cost hoga. Tumakuru tak Metro...

extend karne ka jo plan hai woh 86 km lamba hoga, aur experts ka kehna hai ki yeh Metro system ke liye bahut zyada durr hai. Woh suggest kar rahe hain ki aise long distances ke liye Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) ek better alternative hai, jaise ki Delhi-Meerut RRTS. Saath hi, woh existing Metro phases ko complete karne aur suburban rail network ko priority dene pe zor de rahe hain, Metro ko aage badhane se pehle. Argument yeh hai ki planned suburban rail network ko complete karne se Bengaluru mein connectivity bahut improve ho sakti hai aur congestion kam ho sakta hai, Metro extensions ke high costs aur time ke bina.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
