On Monday, a Ranchi-Howrah Intercity Express train (train number 18628) experienced smoke emanating from one of its carriages shortly after departing Ranchi and reaching Jonha. The linesman informed railway officials, leading to the immediate halting of the train at Jonha. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the smoke originated from the...

brake system of a wheel on the carriage. The train remained stationary for about half an hour while repairs were carried out. Railway officials attributed the smoke to the high temperature and stated that the issue was resolved. Subsequently, the train resumed its journey from Jonha. Separately, the zonal member of the South Eastern Railway, Arun Joshi, has advocated for a direct train service between Ranchi and Jaipur. He highlighted the significant number of individuals from Rajasthan residing in the state, along with those commuting for business purposes. The lack of a direct train connection poses considerable inconvenience for these passengers. Joshi urged Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to request the Railway Minister to extend the route of train number 12825, Jharkhand Sampark Kranti, to Jaipur and introduce a weekly train service from Ranchi to Ajmer/Jaipur. He mentioned that the Ranchi-Ajmer Garib Nawaz Express, which operated before the COVID-19 pandemic, has been discontinued. The Chamber of Commerce and various social and religious organizations, along with several MPs from Jharkhand and Rajasthan, have also written to the Railway Minister regarding this matter.

Unhone bataya ki Rajasthan ke bahut saare log state me rehte hain, aur bahut se log business ke liye aate jaate hain. Is baat par Jharkhand aur Rajasthan ke bahut se MPs ke saath saath Chamber of Commerce aur alag alag social aur religious organizations ne bhi Railway Minister ko letter likha hai.
