The diversions are a result of farmers protesting on railway tracks for several days demanding their demands be met. The Agra Railway Division's PRO, Prashasti Srivastava, confirmed the diversion of numerous trains, including the Mumbai CST-Amritsar Express, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Express, Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express, Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Express, Mumbai Central-Amritsar Express, Nagpur-Amritsar Express, Korba-Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express, Pune-Jammu Tawi Jhelum Express, and Bandra Terminus-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Express, on Sunday. The diverted routes included Jalandhar-Dhuri Junction, Chandigarh-Morinda Junction-Sirhind-Sanahawal, and Ludhiana-Dhuri-Jalandhar.

Agra Railway Division ki PRO, Prashasti Srivastava ne confirm kiya hai ki kaafi trains divert ki gayi hain, jisme Mumbai CST-Amritsar Express, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Express, Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express, Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Express, Mumbai Central-Amritsar Express, Nagpur-Amritsar Express, Korba-Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express, Pune-Jammu Tawi Jhelum Express, and Bandra Terminus-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Express, shamil hain.
