They managed to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the relay room, but one shop was completely destroyed. The fire department's quick response prevented a major accident, potentially avoiding significant damage similar to the Itarsi railway station incident. The Nagpur Divisional Railway Manager, along with senior officials, reached the site to investigate the cause of the fire, including possible negligence, improper business practices, fire safety violations, employee negligence, and other factors. While this incident occurred, the Central Railway had conducted a safety awareness week from June 6th, led by General Manager Manish Agarwal and Senior Safety Officer Vijaykumar Pandey, focusing on avoiding accidents at manned and unmanned railway crossings.
