A fire broke out at the Sevagram railway station, formerly known as Wardha East, on the morning of [date], narrowly averting a potential disaster. The fire started in a multi-purpose service center next to the relay room on platform number 4. It was caused by a short circuit and quickly spread....

The signal staff, upon noticing the fire, immediately alerted the fire department and attempted to control the flames. The fire department from the L&T company arrived swiftly, followed by the Wardha Municipal Corporation's fire engine. They managed to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the relay room, but one shop was completely destroyed. The fire department's quick response prevented a major accident, potentially avoiding significant damage similar to the Itarsi railway station incident. The Nagpur Divisional Railway Manager, along with senior officials, reached the site to investigate the cause of the fire, including possible negligence, improper business practices, fire safety violations, employee negligence, and other factors. While this incident occurred, the Central Railway had conducted a safety awareness week from June 6th, led by General Manager Manish Agarwal and Senior Safety Officer Vijaykumar Pandey, focusing on avoiding accidents at manned and unmanned railway crossings. Despite the awareness campaign, the fire incident has raised concerns about safety practices. Attempts to reach Mr. Agarwal for comment were unsuccessful.

Sevagram railway station pe, jisko pehle Wardha East ke naam se jaante the, aaj subah ek bada accident hone se bach gaya. Platform number 4 pe relay room ke paas multi-purpose service center mein aag lag gayi. Ye short circuit ki wajah se hua. Signal staff ne aag dekh kar fire...

department ko call kiya aur aag bujhaneki koshish ki. L&T company ka fire department aur Wardha Municipal Corporation ka fire engine bhi aagaye. Unhone aag ko bujha diya aur relay room tak pahuchaane se rok liya, par ek shop puri tarah jal gaya. Fire department ka jaldi response ki wajah se bada accident takla gaya. Itarsi railway station jaisa damage hone se bach gaya. Nagpur Divisional Railway Manager, aur senior officials, ghatna sthali pe jaanch ke liye pahuche hain. Woh dekh rahe hain ki aag kaise lagi, kya koi negligence thi, business kaise chal raha tha, fire safety rules ka violation hua, employees ki negligence thi, ya aur koi reason hai. Ye ghatna 6 June se chala aaya Central Railway ka safety awareness week ke baad hua hai. Ye campaign General Manager Manish Agarwal aur Senior Safety Officer Vijaykumar Pandey ne chalaya tha. Isme manned aur unmanned railway crossings pe accidents rokne ke baare mein bataaya gaya tha. Is awareness campaign ke baad bhi aag lagne ki ghatna se safety practices pe sawal uth gaye hain. Mr. Agarwal se baat karne ki koshish ki gayi, par unse contact nahin ho paya.
