Sources suggest the railway administration has the authority to grant a 7-day extension, but any operation beyond that requires payment of additional fees. Senior DCM Dr. Madhur Verma confirmed the expiry of the contract and the issuance of a notice to the contractor, stating that the contractor is expected to pay for the extended operating time.
