Indian Railways is launching a new overnight sleeper train, the Vande Bharat Sleeper, connecting New Delhi to Srinagar. Built by BEML, it will start operations in January 2025. The train will depart from New Delhi at 7:00 PM and arrive in Srinagar at 8:00 AM the next morning. It will make stops at Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan, and Banihal. The train will offer three classes: AC 3 Tier (3A), AC 2 Tier (2A), and AC First Class (1A), with expected ticket prices of ₹2,000, ₹2,500, and ₹3,000 respectively. The Northern Railway zone will manage the train's maintenance and operations. Indian Railways also plans to extend the route further to Baramulla to improve accessibility to the region.

Train raaste mein kuchh stops bhi karegi, jaise ki Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan, aur Banihal.
