_/\_:stupid extension demand
Demand rife to extend Bengaluru-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express to Ernakulam

The Railway Board is yet to decide on introducing a Vande Bharat Express service on the Ernakulam-Bengaluru route. Meanwhile, passenger associations are urging the extension of the Bengaluru-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express to Ernakulam due to low patronage for the Coimbatore-Bengaluru train and high demand on the Ernakulam-Bengaluru route. The association suggests...

increasing the coaches in the existing train or introducing a separate train from Ernakulam, operating from 5 a.m. to noon. This move would benefit commuters from Ernakulam to both Bengaluru and Coimbatore. The Railway has recently made the Tatanagar-Ernakulam Bi-Weekly Express a daily service due to high demand on the Ernakulam-Palakkad-Coimbatore route, particularly for a morning train. Sources suggest that the extension of the Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is a temporary solution while the Railway considers the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express proposal. Despite high track capacity utilization on the Ernakulam-Palakkad route, the introduction of the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is highly anticipated due to the overwhelming demand for Vande Bharat Express services in Kerala.

Railway Board abhi tak Ernakulam-Bengaluru corridor mein Vande Bharat Express service shuru karne ka final call nahin liya hai. Iske saath hi, passenger associations Ernakulam tak Bengaluru-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express ko extend karne ki maang kar rahi hain, kyuki Coimbatore-Bengaluru train mein utna patronage nahin hai jitna expected tha aur Ernakulam-Bengaluru...

route pe bahut zyada demand hai. Association ne suggestion diya hai ki existing train mein coaches badhaye jaaye ya phir Ernakulam se alag train chalu ki jaaye, jo subah 5 baje chale aur dopahar mein Bengaluru pahuche. Isse Ernakulam se Bengaluru aur Coimbatore, dono jaane wale commuters ko faida hoga. Railway ne hal hi mein Tatanagar-Ernakulam Bi-Weekly Express ko daily service bana diya hai, kyuki Ernakulam-Palakkad-Coimbatore route pe bahut zyada demand hai, khaas karke subah ki train ke liye. Sources ne bataya hai ki Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express ko Ernakulam tak extend karna Ernakulam se train commuters ke liye temporary relief hoga, jabtak ki Railway Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express ke proposal par sochta hai. Ernakulam-Palakkad route pe bahut zyada track capacity utilization hone ke baavajood, Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express ka introduction bahut zyada expected hai, kyuki Kerala mein Vande Bharat Express services ki demand bahut zyada hai.

They're planning to extend CBE BNC VB till ERS... so in a way not ruining that train but yes for Uday it would be a problem... but am wondering why they wish to start very early morning at 5 am (considering that they're planning to extend till ERS)... isn't that quite tough for ppl to come at 5 am and board that train to BNC??? I'd prefer to depart at 6 am and reach BNC by 2:30 PM....

Useful
I feel, the recent rescheduling is helping ERS in some way to consider about extension and it is a good measure rather than introducing one more VB in the same section. This will not ruin UDAY further I think. The damage was already done by VB and in this case, same VB is getting extended.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
