Shivamogga, a central district in the Malnad region of Karnataka, is demanding the introduction of Vande Bharat Express train services. While Vande Bharat services are available in various parts of Karnataka, the Malnad region, particularly Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts, are yet to be included. This demand has gained momentum with the...

involvement of Karnataka's Railway Minister V. Somanna, who has discussed the possibility of launching a Bengaluru-Shivamogga Vande Bharat route. Various organizations and Shivamogga MP B.Y. Raghavendra are also lobbying for this service. Currently, Karnataka has Vande Bharat services to Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Davanagere, Tumakuru, Yadgir, and Raichur, with seven routes emanating from Bengaluru and two connecting Mangaluru to Kerala and Goa. A new Pune-Hubballi service has recently been launched. However, the existing Bengaluru-Dharwad route doesn't have stops at Arsikere, Birur, or Chikjajur, making it inaccessible to Chikkamagaluru district. Despite being a crucial hub for trade and tourism, Shivamogga lacks Vande Bharat connectivity. It's well-connected to Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Davanagere, and North Kannada district, and is known for its agricultural produce like areca nut and its tourist attractions such as Shivamogga city, Jog Falls in Sagar, Agumbe in Thirthahalli, Kodachadri in Hosanagara taluk, Balligavi in Shikaripura taluk, and the Bhadra Reservoir in Bhadravati taluk. With a railway line extending from Shivamogga to Talaguppa in Sagar taluk and connections to Chennai and Mysuru, the demand for Vande Bharat services in the region is growing stronger. Local residents emphasize the need for this service, especially considering the shorter distance between Shivamogga and Bengaluru, which is less than 300 km. Despite the absence of a definitive decision, MP B.Y. Raghavendra remains optimistic about the possibility of launching a Vande Bharat service in the future. Meanwhile, officials are exploring the feasibility of a Vande Bharat route from Shivamogga to Sagar.

Shivamogga, Malnad region ka ek central district hai, aur yeh Vande Bharat Express train service ka demand kar raha hai. Karnataka ke bahut saare jagahon pe Vande Bharat services available hain, lekin Malnad region, khaskar Shivamogga aur Chikkamagaluru districts, abhi tak yeh service nahi mila hai. Yeh demand abhi...

aur zyada tezi se badh raha hai, Karnataka ke Railway Minister V. Somanna ne Bengaluru-Shivamogga Vande Bharat route launch ke bare me baat ki hai. Iske sath hi, bahut saare organization aur Shivamogga ke MP B.Y. Raghavendra bhi is service ke liye lobby kar rahe hain. Abhi, Karnataka me Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Davanagere, Tumakuru, Yadgir, aur Raichur ke liye Vande Bharat services hain, jisme se 7 routes Bengaluru se nikal rahe hain aur 2 Mangaluru se Kerala aur Goa ko connect kar rahe hain. Ek new Pune-Hubballi service bhi abhi start hua hai. Lekin, existing Bengaluru-Dharwad route pe Arsikere, Birur, ya Chikjajur pe koi stop nahi hai, jisse Chikkamagaluru district ke log is service ka fayda nahi le pa rahe hain. Trade aur tourism ke liye ek important hub hone ke baavajood, Shivamogga me Vande Bharat connectivity nahi hai. Yeh Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Davanagere, aur North Kannada district se acche se connected hai, aur areca nut jaise agricultural produce aur Shivamogga city, Sagar me Jog Falls, Thirthahalli me Agumbe, Hosanagara taluk me Kodachadri, Shikaripura taluk me Balligavi, aur Bhadravati taluk me Bhadra Reservoir jaise tourist attractions ke liye jaana jaata hai. Sagar taluk me Talaguppa se Shivamogga tak ek railway line hai aur Chennai aur Mysuru se connections hain, jisse is region me Vande Bharat services ki demand aur bhi strong ho rahi hai. Local residents is service ki zarurat ko emphasize kar rahe hain, khaskar Shivamogga aur Bengaluru ke beech ka distance, jo 300 km se kam hai. Ek final decision hone ke baavajood, MP B.Y. Raghavendra future me Vande Bharat service launch hone ki ummeed rakhte hain. Iske sath hi, officials Shivamogga se Sagar tak Vande Bharat route ki feasibility explore kar rahe hain.

These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
