RITES-led JV Becomes L1 For Delhi Metro RS-1’s Train Upgrade Contract

Centre (Rs. 537 crore), and the Delhi Metro (Rs. 400 crore). The line runs along the Delhi-Mathura Road (NH-2) and offers a safe, affordable, and environmentally friendly transportation option. Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar expressed gratitude to PM Modi for the new line and announced that PM Modi will soon approve the Gurgaon-Faridabad Metro connection. Separately, RITES – R2P Asia-Pacific – ACT Fiberglass JV was declared the lowest bidder for the refurbishment and modernization of 22 train sets from Delhi Metro’s RS-1 fleet for the Blue Line. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 102.06 crore and the JV bid of Rs. 87.57 crore is expected to result in a contract award in the coming weeks.
