Southern Railway has announced special train services between Tambaram and Kochuveli to manage the expected passenger rush during the Navratri and Diwali festivals. The special train (06035) will depart from Tambaram at 7:30 PM every Friday from October 11th to December 27th, arriving at Kochuveli at 11:20 AM the next day....

The return special train (06036) will depart from Kochuveli at 3:25 PM every Sunday from October 13th to December 29th, reaching Tambaram at 7:35 AM the next day. These special trains will halt at various stations including Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sankaran Koil, Ambasamudram, Kadayanallur, Tenkasi, Sengottai, Tenmalai, Punalur, Avaniashivaram, Kottarakkara, Kundara, and Kollam. The trains will consist of 14 third AC sleeper coaches and 2 power-generating bogies with luggage compartments. Bookings for these special trains are currently open.
