Completely agree with you, but as railfans and travelers, we have to ask these questions to ourselves: Why is it that we face so much delays when our avg. MPS is not that high, whereas places like Europe that have much higher MPS (160-200km/h) and equally crowded railway network have better punctuality? The answer lies in the fact that our signalling system is completely outdated. Unless busy trunk routes like NZM-AGC-JHS / NDLS-MGS-HWH / NDLS-RTM-BRC-BDTS is fully converted to ABS, I don't think any number of triplings/ quadruplings will solve punctuality problem.
