The Railway authorities have announced these cancellations through a notice. Affected trains include the Jammu Tawi-Barauni Express, Barauni-Jammu Tawi Express, Saharsa-Amritsar Express, Amritsar-Saharsa Express, Lalgarh-Dibrugarh Express, Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Express, Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Express, Guwahati-Jammu Tawi Express, Saharsa-Amritsar Express, Amritsar-Saharsa Express, New Jalpaiguri-Amritsar Express, and Amritsar-New Jalpaiguri Express. All trains are scheduled to resume operations on their regular routes and timings after a specific period.

These changes will affect trains running between Amritsar-Purnea Court, Jammu Tawi-Barauni, Darbhanga-Jalandhar City, Chandigarh-Dibrugarh, Danapur-Anand Vihar, Singrauli-Tanakpur, Saharsa-Amritsar, Lalgarh-Dibrugarh, Jammu Tawi-Guwahati, Bhagat Ki Kothi-Kamakhya, New Jalpaiguri-Amritsar, and Kamakhya-Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Some trains like the New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express, Saharsa-Anand Vihar Terminus Express, and others will be run on alternate routes. The Howrah-Dehradun Express and the Dehradun-Howrah Express will be partially terminated and started in Lucknow. The New Delhi-Rajgir Shramjeevi Express and the New Delhi-Dibrugarh Express will have their departure times adjusted.

On Saturday evening, a goods train derailed near Amroha, disrupting train services on the Delhi-Lucknow railway route for the entire night. (12588) arrived in Bareilly nine hours late, while the Delhi-Lucknow Double Decker Express (12584) was delayed by four hours. The Rajdhani Express (20506) was delayed by one hour. Other trains like the Garib Rath Express (12204), Ayodhya Express (14206), Shramjeevi Express (12392), Padmavat Express (14208), Malda Town Express (14004), Suheldev Express (22420), Lucknow Mail (12232), Amritsar-Howrah Express (13006), Kashi Vishwanath Express (15128), Himgiri Express (14524), Ganga-Satluj Express (13308), Kolkata Express (13152), and Janata Express (15120) also delayed passengers. Due to the disruption, many passengers spent the night at the station. Thirteen trains bound for Lucknow via Bareilly were diverted due to the derailment. The Chief Commercial Inspector, Rakesh Singh, confirmed that train services on the Delhi-Lucknow route have returned to normal.
