I agree to most of those. As for Garib Rath, that was one concept which should've worked on ANY of the BUSY stretch. If a Garib Rath is running vacant, the stretch indeed has very less demand for AC class OR as you said, the days are not suitable.

I disagree with u on few of ur points:-

1. Many GRs run fully packed throughout the year. There is no peak day for them Eg. LTT KCVL, BDTS NZM etc.

2.

Flight cannot be considered as an option for 1A or 2A. Travelling by 1A n 2A is always cheaper than by flight....

1. yes many GRs are running full. not denying it.
but many are running under capacity too.
example:
YPR-KCVL 12257/8. running on exactly the opposite days of demand. if you just invert the days, the GR will be overflowing with WL. dont look at the next few weeks as they are vacation weeks. but usually this train isnt empty. the less said about 12255
...
the better.
my point is, there are some routes on which no planning is required, any train will run full. example being BCT-NDLS. but on some routes, but on other routes, there is a little bit of planning required to extract maximum use of the resources. it is sad to see a full AC train with even one coach empty.
same is true for a bunch of fully AC trains.
please note my area of knowledge is limited to SWR and SR. road transport is a lot more developed in this area, so is the bus lobby. in such areas, more planning is needed while putting upmarket trains.
2. as for 2AC and 1AC. SBC-NDLS 2A fare in rajdhani is 3600 while in 1A it is Rs.6000.
if you book 90 days in advance, you usually get air fare between 4-5k.
there isnt much difference if you look at long distance (>2000 km)

If they allow boarding on the Technical stations then they can be full, they can collect the full fare from the point to point journey. for ex. 12259/60, 12273/74 have stoppages at Dhanbad, but passengers not allowed to board. If they are allowed to board , it would help a lot, and also clear some of the rush of the rajdhanis
