Only a portion of the Earning's from Sabarimala Devaswom that kerala govt is taking is enough to build the rail link between Angamaly - Punalur via Erumeli. The Kerala govt only supports populists projects like kochi metro. Similar is the case of Thirunnavaya - Guruvayur rail line. About 45 minutes can be reduced in travel time if this is realized..

In my opinion, Govt should abandon Sabari railway project. The temple already spoiled by uncontrollable number of visitors throughout the year. They should restrict the access to the temple instead of keeping it as a cash cow and business opportunity.
Guruvayur is a township, and there is little ecological impact connecting with Thirunavaya. This is a strategic route for Railways to bi-pass extremely congested and time consuming SRR.
