computer should be connected 6 server one Mumbai one Kolkata one chennie one delhi two other.
as we know if we book one reserve ticket, all PSR (all reservation center know that this ticket is booked).
same if a train pass a signal, server computer will clear route for this automatically.
one company uber cabs has install phone based gps in all taxi .
but our trains are without GPS.
If GPS install in all train it will tally server data with GPS data (double security).
how will benefit this.
1:- train will not go on wrong track.
2:- if any signal failed or broken, not visible due to fog , GPS will show all running train position on track. so train driver will know ahead train distant on the track.
ISRO is ready to provide a spacial GPS satellite to railway, but railway want go in stone Age.

GPS system install in train can run a train without driver without signals .
but driver necessary for.
1:-stopping train in emergency. agitation
2:- visual seeing of tracks .
