Re# 2399504-2
It is good that new RM shall follow the policies of Mr. Prabhu which were very visionary. However a few changes like the following ones shall be very useful:
(1) Chasing the Rly bureaucracy hard to implement the good policies formulated by past RM
(2) Run 160kmph trains only after completion of DFCs and on routes which are free from heavy freight train to ensure safety & check accidents.
(3)
...
Withdraw Flexifare, Suvidha, premium tatkal and rationalize the fares of all the classes.
(4) Develop HOG, and SGLHB coaches on war footing to eliminate use of power cars in LHB SFs/Rajs etc.
(5) A policy road map to break monoploy of IR in railway operation & allow private operators to operate freight & express trains and compete with IR else IR shall remain inefficient for ever.
(6) Further speeding up capital expenditure on profitable projects of IR.
