A similar situation had occurred few years back. On highlighting this, the MP from Palakkad MB Rajesh managed to immediately get this sorted to some extent by quickly getting a gen coach arranged in rear (All-DHN rake). That time also a big contingent was travelling to Ranchi.
Just goes to show how good it would have been if instead of a slip service with only 8 coaches, a full fledged train service would have been run in this highly profitable sector.
