Creation of new division can be a problem. Why not merge MAQ MAJN to KR or SWR Mysore? SR PGT division can have all Kerala trains from port terminal.
If Thokur to MAQ is given to KR, zonal issues will be nil. For south bound trains from Konkan, and for MAQ to east side trains, MAJN will be the interchange point.

After much delay, lots of protests etc, SR has finally started lots of civil/infra related works in MAJN & MAQ whuch includes increase in pit line length in MAQ, additional pf works ( pit line expected to be completed before April 21 & PF by Dec 21.) Similarly stabling line and other works in MAJN . After doing all this the last thing that you can expect is to move them to other zones !!!!
I feel additional platform, pitlines etc may not get any trains to Karnataka. More trains would run to Kerala TN.
Better Karnataka Govt doesn't give any land to SR, what KA gets in return is Nil.
