GoN agrees to set-up HLC to deal with Railways issues: NFR

The Nagaland government has agreed to establish a High-Level Committee to address railway-related issues in the state. would reach Molvom and Pherima by September 2024. The NFR also plans to develop a Goods Yard at Molvom and will develop rail infrastructure based on the state's needs. The committee will meet quarterly to resolve issues. The NFR is also aiming for direct rail connectivity between Kohima and Imphal, and the Reconnaissance Engineering-cum-Traffic survey for the Zubza-Imphal new line has been completed. The NFR plans to initiate the Final Location Survey shortly. In 2022, the NFR opened the Shokhuvi railway station, the second station in Nagaland after Dimapur.

ne Rio ko assure kiya ki Dhansiri-Zubza new line project, Molvom aur Pherima tak September 2024 tak pohoch jaayega. NFR Molvom mein ek Goods Yard bhi develop karega aur state ki requirements ke hisaab se rail infrastructure develop karega. Committee har quarter mein issues solve karne ke liye meet karega. NFR Kohima aur Imphal ke beech direct rail connectivity bhi chahta hai, aur Zubza-Imphal new line ke liye Reconnaissance Engineering-cum-Traffic survey complete ho chuka hai. NFR jaldi hi Final Location Survey shuru karne wala hai. 2022 mein, NFR ne Nagaland mein Shokhuvi railway station khula, jo Dimapur ke baad state ka dusra railway station hai.
