Railway Board allots Vande Bharat rakes for Kashmir

Bharat Express, which is planned to run on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL). This move suggests a possible announcement of the Vande Bharat service connecting Kashmir to the rest of India before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The USBRL is expected to be operational in early 2024, with plans to introduce Vande Bharat trains along the entire stretch and Vande Metro trains between Jammu and Srinagar. This will significantly reduce travel time between Jammu and Srinagar to 3.5 hours, compared to the current seven-hour road journey.

Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) par chalana plan hai. Isse yeh pata chalta hai ki 2024 Lok Sabha elections se pehle Kashmir ko rest of India se connect karne wala Vande Bharat service ka announcement ho sakta hai. USBRL early 2024 mein operational hone wala hai, jismein pura stretch par Vande Bharat trains aur Jammu aur Srinagar ke beech Vande Metro trains chalaane ka plan hai. Isse Jammu aur Srinagar ke beech travel time 3.5 hours tak kam ho jayega, jo ki aaj kal seven hours ka road journey hai.
