Although the collision was forceful enough to alarm passengers, the train continued its journey to Jabalpur, where it was discovered that the engine had collided with a car. The RPF (Railway Protection Force) arrived on the scene, found the car near the tracks, and seized it. The car was empty, and no bodies were found. The RPF investigation revealed that the driver had fled after abandoning the car. They are now searching for the car owner and driver using the car's registration number: MP 20 CG 8444.

pe chhod diya aur bhaag gaya. Is dauraan, Mumbai se Gorakhpur jaane wali 12165 Superfast Express, Narsinghpur se Jabalpur aati hui thi. Engine driver ne track pe car dekh kar kai baar horn bajaya. Train ne car ko takkar mari aur nikal gayi. Car ke toot-phooth ho gayi aur train ka engine kharab ho gaya. Takkar itni tez thi ki train mein safar kar rahe kai yaatri ghabra gaye. Kafi logon ko samajh nahi aaya ki kya hua hai, lekin Jabalpur station pahunchne pe pata chala ki engine car se takraya tha. RPF (Railway Protection Force) ne mauke pe pahunch kar car ko seize kiya. Car mein koi nahi tha aur track ke aas-paas koi shav bhi nahi mila. RPF ne pata lagaaya ki driver car ko chhod kar bhaag gaya tha. Ab woh car ke number se owner aur driver ki talash kar rahe hain.
