Minister Piyush Goyal to advocate for the resumption of 26 pairs of trains that pass through Katras Station. The train will depart Dhanbad at 7:30 AM and arrive in Chandrapura at 9:30 AM. On the return trip, the train will depart Chandrapura at 2:20 PM and arrive in Dhanbad at 4:10 PM. The train's suspension in June 2017 was due to concerns about underground fire hazards beneath the railway line. While most train services were restored in February 2019, the Dhanbad-Chandrapura passenger train remained unavailable. This resumption is expected to alleviate travel difficulties between Dhanbad and Chandrapura and provide students with convenient access to Dhanbad for their studies.
