VB Express will depart Mangaluru Central at 11 am, Udupi at 12:27 pm, and Karwar at 2:54 pm, arriving in Madgaon at 4:40 pm. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA D. Vedavyasa Kamath, and Palakkad Divisional Railway Manager Arun Kumar Chaturvedi inspected the preparations for the event on December 29th. The inauguration ceremony will include speeches by dignitaries at 10 am, followed by the official flagging off by Prime Minister Modi at 11 am. The new train service is expected to boost tourism between the two coastal destinations. The MP also mentioned requests for extending the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod VB Express to Mangaluru Central and introducing a new Mangaluru Central-Ernakulam VB Express. A Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central VB service is anticipated after the completion of railway electrification between Subrahmanya Road and Sakleshpur Stations. The newly constructed Platforms 4 and 5 at Mangaluru Central will be dedicated to the nation during the VB Express flagging off on Saturday, and will be fully equipped by January 15th.

MP ne request bhi ki hai ki Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod VB Express ko Mangaluru Central tak extend kiya jaaye aur Mangaluru Central aur Ernakulam (Kochi) ke beech ek new VB Express shuru kiya jaaye. Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central VB service March ke baad Subrahmanya Road aur Sakleshpur Stations ke beech railway electrification complete hone ke baad start ho sakti hai.
