Railways conducts Kavach efficiency trial at 140 kmph between Mathura and Palwal

Indian Railways conducted a trial of the Kavach anti-collision system on a train running at 140 kmph between Mathura and Palwal on December 30th. This was the first time the system was tested at this speed. Earlier trials were conducted at 130 kmph in various locations before the system was implemented...

in three sections on the South Central Railway. The trial results were encouraging, and further analysis will be conducted by RDSO and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. The Kavach system automatically applies brakes in emergencies when the driver fails to react. The Agra Division, under North Central Railway, made special arrangements for the trial on request of RDSO, who developed Kavach for nationwide implementation. The 80 km stretch between Mathura and Palwal was specially equipped with RFID tags, stationary Kavach units, and tower and antenna installations. The success of Kavach at 130 kmph is established, and with the introduction of semi-high speed trains like Vande Bharat, it's crucial to test the system at higher speeds. Kavach is an indigenous system developed by RDSO with three Indian vendors. It enhances train safety by preventing signal passing at danger, overspeeding, and facilitating train operation during adverse weather conditions. The system automatically applies brakes, repeats signals in the cab, and provides speed control, ensuring train safety and efficiency.

Indian Railways ne Kavach anti-collision system ka ek trial kiya hai, jismein ek train 140 kmph ki speed pe Mathura aur Palwal ke beech chal rahi thi, ye 30 December ko hua tha. Ye pehli baar tha jab system ko is speed pe test kiya gaya. Isse pehle aise trials 130...

kmph pe alag alag jagah pe kiye gaye the, is system ko South Central Railway ke teen sections mein lagaane se pehle. Trial ke results bahut encouraging aaye hain, aur RDSO aur doosre stakeholders saath mein report ka detailed analysis karenge, taaki system mein improvement ki jagah dekhi ja sake. Kavach system emergency mein automatically brakes laga deta hai, jab driver react nahi karta hai. North Central Railway ke under Agra Division ne RDSO ke request pe is trial ke liye special arrangements kiye, jinhonne Kavach ko desh bhar mein implement karne ke liye develop kiya hai. Mathura (station ko chhodkar) aur Palwal ke beech 80 km ke stretch mein RFID tags, stationary Kavach units, aur tower and antenna installations lagaaye gaye hain. Kavach system ka 130 kmph pe success established hai, aur Vande Bharat jaise semi-high speed trains ke aane se, is system ko 130 kmph se zyada speed pe test karna jaruri hai. Kavach ek indigenous system hai, jo ki RDSO ne teen Indian vendors ke saath milkar develop kiya hai. Ye train ki safety ko enhance karta hai, signal passing at danger aur over-speeding ko rokta hai, aur extreme weather conditions mein bhi train operation ko possible banata hai. System automatically brakes laga deta hai, cab mein signal repeat karta hai, aur speed control deta hai, jisse train ki safety aur efficiency badhti hai.
