Suburban section. In December alone, WR recovered INR 12.71 crore from 2.24 lakh ticketless/irregular passengers, including unbooked luggage cases. Additionally, WR collected INR 3.54 crore in fines for 91,000 cases in the Mumbai Suburban section during December. Surprise ticket checks to prevent unauthorized entry into AC local trains led to the penalization of over 46,000 passengers between April and December 2023, resulting in fines totaling INR 154.67 lakh, a 50% increase compared to the same period last year. Western Railway urges passengers to travel with valid tickets.

December mein, WR ne Mumbai Suburban section mein 91,000 cases mein INR 3.54 crore fine lagaya. AC local trains mein unauthorized entry rokne ke liye, surprise ticket checks kiye ja rahe hain. April se December 2023 tak 46,000 se zyada unauthorized passengers ko fine lagaya gaya, jisse INR 154.67 lakh fine collect hua, jo pichhle saal ke same period se 50% zyada hai. Western Railway sabhi passengers se appeal karta hai ki sahi aur valid tickets ke saath travel karein.
