It offers a convenient alternative for passengers boarding trains from platforms 7 and 8, as traversing between platforms 1 to 9 can be challenging. With the pod hotel, Gorakhpur Junction will finally have a comfortable and affordable option for passengers needing a short stay. Previously, the station had limited facilities, with only three retiring rooms and 31 dormitories operational out of 17 and 31 respectively, managed by IRCTC.
