for 6 months, with 15% physical progress achieved at a cost of Rs 35 crore. The project includes a new 75,000 sq. ft. expansion, doubling the station's area to 1 lakh sq. ft. Key features include separate ticket counters, dedicated pick-up and drop zones, a large waiting room, rainwater harvesting, solar power roofing, a four-foot overbridge, and a multi-storey parking complex for 2000 vehicles. The station will become a major transport hub integrating three rail networks: the existing network, the upcoming Suburban Rail Project, and the nearby underground metro station under Phase 2. The project is expected to be completed by October 2025.
