'Aastha Specials' are meant to be on-demand, requiring 1600 passengers to trigger its operation. Tickets can only be booked through the IRCTC tourist portal and not through the PRS database. The train will offer six free berths in every three coaches for IRCTC staff. In addition, services like escorting parties and OBHS staff will be provided for security. The train will depart from Azamgarh at 6:15 AM, arriving in Gorakhpur at 10:35 AM and Ayodhya at 1:50 PM. The return journey from Ayodhya will depart at 4:10 PM, reaching Gorakhpur at 7:10 PM and Azamgarh at 11:15 PM.
