Commuters between Kolar and Bengaluru are demanding electric trains, but the Bengaluru Railway Division has sent a train to Ayodhya and hasn't returned it yet. The South Western Railway Zone cites a shortage of trains and terminal constraints at Kolar as the reason. While the 149 km stretch between Yelahanka and...

Bangarpet via Kolar is fully electrified, only diesel trains are currently operating. Electric trains run from Bengaluru to Chikkaballapura, but not beyond. A railway source attributed the delay to a lack of MEMU trains and staffing issues, stating that they require more staff at Kolar to manage the trains and equipment. An RTI response from SWR confirmed the shortage of MEMU rakes and terminal constraints in Kolar. Commuters, including IT professionals and students, are unhappy with the delay as the existing diesel trains are overcrowded and the journey takes over 3 hours, leading to exhaustion. An MEMU train with 16 coaches can accommodate over 1,000 passengers, providing a more efficient and faster alternative to the current DEMU trains.

Kolar aur Bengaluru ke beech ke commuters electric train ka demand kar rahe hain, par Bengaluru Railway Division ne ek train Ayodhya bhej di hai aur abhi tak vapas nahi aaya hai. South Western Railway Zone ne Kolar mein train ki kami aur terminal ki problem ko reason bataaya hai. Yelahanka...

aur Bangarpet ke beech ka 149 km ka stretch, Kolar se hota hua, pura electrified hai, par abhi sirf diesel train chal rahi hai. Electric train Bengaluru se Chikkaballapura tak chalti hai, par uske aage nahi. Railway source ne train ki kami aur staffing issues ko delay ka reason bataaya hai, aur kaha hai ki Kolar mein train aur equipment manage karne ke liye zyada staff ki zarurat hai. SWR ne ek RTI response mein MEMU train ki kami aur Kolar mein terminal ki problem ki confirm kiya hai. Commuters, jinme IT professionals aur students bhi shamil hain, is delay se khush nahi hain, kyunki existing diesel train bahut crowded hain aur journey 3 hours se zyada time leti hai, jisse log bahut thak jaate hain. Ek 16 coaches wali MEMU train 1,000 se zyada passengers ko baitha sakti hai, jo existing DEMU train se zyada efficient aur fast option hai.
