The incident blocked train traffic on the main line for approximately four hours. The line was cleared after the goods train was removed, restoring normal traffic flow. The accident occurred early Wednesday morning. The driver of the goods train applied emergency brakes but could not prevent the collision. Local residents reported that the driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol and that the crossing was not authorized. Similar incidents have occurred in the past at this location. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.
