The National Green Tribunal (NGT) dismissed a petition claiming the land intended for the station's expansion belonged to the Forest Department. The NGT found no concrete evidence to support the claim that the 1,24,000 square meter land was owned by the Forest Department or that trees were being illegally felled. The station is strategically located near the Dwarka Sector 21 metro station and plans for an inter-state bus terminal with modern facilities are underway. This will make it a crucial transportation hub connecting bus, metro, rail, and air services. This new station is expected to alleviate congestion at New Delhi railway station by diverting trains heading towards Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. This will reduce congestion and traffic problems in the surrounding areas.

Station Dwarka Sector 21 metro station ke paas strategically located hai aur iske paas ek interstate bus terminal bhi banaya ja raha hai, jismein modern facilities hongee. Isse yeh ek important transport hub ban jaayega jahan se bus, metro, train aur airplane ki facility available hogi. Is new station se New Delhi railway station ki bheed kam ho jaayegi kyunki Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat aur Rajasthan jaane wali saari trains Bijwasan terminal se chalegi. Isse New Delhi station aur uske aaspaas ke ilakon mein traffic jam ki problem kam hogi.
