On February 23rd, the DFC achieved a record high of 428 train interchanges. Currently, 120 freight trains are operational on the DFC, which operates at a speed of 50 km/h. The DFC is anticipated to alleviate traffic congestion on existing railway lines and improve passenger train speeds. The DFC is also being considered for expansion to other parts of India, including the east coast, east-west corridor, and north-south corridor.
