The rapid rail will be capable of reaching speeds of 140 km/h, and will reduce travel time between Noida International Airport and Indira Gandhi Airport to approximately 45 minutes. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 16,200 crore, with the funding split between the central government (20%), the state government (50%), and Noida International Airport Limited (NAIL) (30%). The route is expected to have a daily ridership of 2.95 lakh passengers by 2031, increasing to 5.23 lakh by 2041 and 6.32 lakh by 2051.
