The inauguration also includes over 1,500 'One Station One Product' stalls at railway stations, 50 Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras at stations, 51 Gati Shakti multimodal cargo terminals, railway goods sheds, 16 railway factories/locosheds/pit lines/coaching depots, solar plants at 975 locations for station buildings and service buildings, 35 rail coach restaurants, electrification of various railway sections (2,135 km), doubling/third line/gauge conversion on 100 sections (1,500 km), the New Khurja-Saharanewal (401 km) section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, the New Makarpura-New Gholvad (244 km) section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor's Operations Control Centre, digital control of 2,646 stations, inauguration of automatic signaling sections on 80 sections (1,045 km), and the laying of the foundation stone for 19 railway factories/locosheds/pit lines/coaching depots, the Fulton-Baramati new line, and the upgrade of the electric traction system. The 'One Station One Product' scheme aims to provide better livelihood opportunities for local artisans, potters, weavers/handloom weavers, and craftsmen by providing sales outlets at railway stations across the country. This scheme will also help promote the 'Vocal for Local' initiative, provide a market for local/domestic products, and create additional income opportunities for marginalized sections of society. In Bihar, the inauguration of 'One Station One Product' stalls at Chhapra Jn, Chhapra Kachhari, Ekma, Masrakh, and Chainwan railway stations, along with the inauguration of the Chhapra Jn-Chhapra Kachhari third electrified line and Chhapra-Manjhi doubling, will be done by Prime Minister Modi on March 12, 2024, at 8:00 am through video conferencing. The stalls will feature food products, sattu, and seasonal fruits. The third electrified line between Chhapra Jn and Chhapra Kachhari will improve operational efficiency, eliminating the need for passenger trains to wait at the outer during platform availability, saving time and providing greater convenience for passengers.
