The Bilaspur High Court has ordered the Railway Board to present information on the continuous cancellation of passenger trains, seeking instructions from the central government. The court questioned why passenger trains cannot operate on the same routes where freight trains run regularly, especially if track maintenance is an issue. The court...

also raised concerns about the lack of track maintenance despite passenger trains being suspended. The next hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 21st. A public interest petition filed by Kamal Kumar Dubey highlighted the issue of frequent train cancellations within the South East Central Railway zone, leading to inconvenience for thousands of passengers. The petition stated that freight trains continue to operate on the same routes despite passenger train cancellations. The court, led by Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Aggarwal, demanded an explanation for the sudden cancellations, and the lawyer representing the central government attributed them to ongoing track work. However, the court raised concerns about the continued operation of freight trains on the same tracks, seeking a proper response from the railway board before the next hearing on Thursday.

Iska koi samayikt jawab nahi diya ja saka. Court ne ispe railway board ke nirdesho ke saath aagle Thursday ko fir sunwai tay ki hai.
