Their car was parked outside the parking lot near the station's exit gate. When the parking staff demanded payment, the young men protested, as their vehicle was not parked within the parking area. This led to an argument, followed by verbal abuse and a physical altercation. Other parking staff members joined the fray, beating the young men with sticks. While some of the other young men who had disembarked the train managed to escape, Saurabh Agrawal was caught in the melee. After filing a complaint, the police visited the parking lot to inquire, but the assailants were not found. The police are investigating the incident. Meanwhile, the RPF inspector from Tatanagar went to the Bagbera police station to gather information about the incident from the injured young men, while a report was also sent to the Chakradharpur Railway Division headquarters.
