NFIR zonal secretary Shashi Mishra highlighted the challenges trackmen face during different seasons and advocated for a shorter patrol distance for safety and humane reasons. If successful, this initiative will benefit around 4500 trackmen in the Chakradharpur division. Trackmen play a crucial role in ensuring safe train operations and have prevented numerous accidents.
