The Indian government is likely to abandon its plan to build three more dedicated freight corridors (DFCs) – East Coast, East-West, and North-South – due to low capacity utilization of the existing east and west freight corridors. energy, minerals, and cement, as announced in the recent budget. These commodity-specific corridors are expected to be more successful as there will be existing customers for them. The existing DFCs have faced challenges in attracting enough customers and have been hard-sold to potential bulk customers. cement ke liye. Ye commodity-specific corridors zyada successful hone ki ummeed hai kyonki unke liye pehle se customers hain. Existing DFCs ko bahut mushkil se customers mil rahe hai aur unko bulk customers ko bechna pad raha hai. Ye decision government ko East Coast aur North-South DFCs ke detailed project reports milne ke baad aaya hai, aur East-West DFC ka DPR bhi jaldi aane wala hai. Ye new corridors pehle 2021 mein propose hue the, lekin ye generic DFCs pe focus karne wala previous plan se alag tha.
