Two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), Tunga and Bhadra, are drilling a 935-meter tunnel from KG Halli to Nagavara. The TBMs are expected to finish by July 31 and August 31, respectively. While the tunnelling is nearing completion, track installation, civil construction, and station building are ongoing. The project includes a 12-station tunnel section and a 7.50 km elevated line. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has deployed nine TBMs for the project, with seven already completing their tasks. The project was initially estimated to be completed by August, but recent reports suggest a more realistic timeline of December for its completion.
