Central Railway To Run 32 Additional Summer Special Train Services Between Mumbai And ThivimTo accommodate the increased demand for train travel during summer vacations on the Konkan route, the Indian Railways is introducing 32 additional summer special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai, and Thivim. more... 01187 (AC Weekly Special) departs Mumbai at 10:15 PM and arrives Thivim at 9:50 AM the next day, while train 01188 departs Thivim at 4:35 PM and arrives Mumbai at 3:45 AM the next day. The trains have a composition of 1 First AC, 3 AC-2 Tier, 15 AC-3 Tier, 1 AC Pantry Car, and 2 Generator Cars. Another special train, 01129 (Second Seating Special) departs Mumbai at 10:15 PM every Saturday from April 20th to June 8th and arrives Thivim at 9:50 AM the next day. The return train, 01130, departs Thivim at 4:35 PM every Sunday from April 21st to June 9th and arrives Mumbai at 3:45 AM the next day. This train comprises 10 reserved second seating coaches, 12 unreserved second seating coaches, and 2 Second seating cum guard’s brake vans. Both trains will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, and Sawantwadi Road in both directions. Bookings for these special trains, with special charges, will open on April 13th at all computerized reservation centers and on the website www.irctc.co.in.
