The NFR unloaded 182 rakes in the Katihar railway division and 230 in the West Bengal region. Additionally, 746 rakes were unloaded in Assam, including 367 rakes carrying essential goods. Other states like Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Mizoram saw 106, 24, 9, 2, and 7 rakes unloaded, respectively. The regular transport of essential and other goods not only fulfills the needs of the people but also boosts the local economic activity of the region. With advanced terminal handling facilities and more goods sheds, the unloading process has become more efficient, enabling customers and stakeholders to unload and clear incoming rakes within a limited time frame. Continuous monitoring at all levels has also resulted in reduced turnaround time and improved unloading efficiency.
