Kerala's second metro rail to come up in Thiruvananthapuram, estimated cost of Rs 11560.80 cr

Kerala's second metro rail will be built in Thiruvananthapuram. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project will be submitted next month and will be reviewed by the state government and the Ministry of Urban Development. The DPR was prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, based on an executive summary submitted earlier. The metro line will cover 46.7 km with 38 stations, including two underground, and an estimated cost of Rs. 11560.80 crore. The line is divided into two reaches: Pallipuram Techno City - Pallichal (30.8 km, 25 stations, Rs 7503.18 crore) and Kazhakoottam - Killipalam (15.9 km, 13 stations, Rs 4057.70 crore). The metro will be built on pillars except for the underground section between Enchakkal and Killipalam. There are also plans for future expansions, including a line connecting Enchakal to Vizhinjam, Pallipuram Technocity to Mangalapuram, and Pallichal to Neyyatinkara.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ne taiyar kiya hai, jo pehle diye gaye executive summary pe based hai. Metro line 46.7 km lambi hogi, jisme 38 stations honge, jinme se 2 underground honge. Estimated cost Rs 11560.80 crore hai. Line ko do parts mein divide kiya gaya hai: Pallipuram Techno City - Pallichal (30.8 km, 25 stations, Rs 7503.18 crore) aur Kazhakoottam - Killipalam (15.9 km, 13 stations, Rs 4057.70 crore). Metro pillars pe banega, bas Enchakkal aur Killipalam ke beech wala section underground hoga. Aage aane wale samay mein expansion ki bhi plan hai, jisme Enchakal se Vizhinjam, Pallipuram Technocity se Mangalapuram, aur Pallichal se Neyyatinkara tak line connect karne ki baat hai.
