The Kolkata Metro's Esplanade to Howrah route has gained immense popularity since its launch. Passenger numbers on this route, connecting the North-South line, have been increasing rapidly every month. To facilitate easier transfer between the Green line and the Blue line, a new subway entrance has been opened.
